“...judge what is right...”

Many do not seem very interested in the truth, saying that we cannot judge. They write off the truth for a lie. We are expected to know the truth and keep it. In matters of faith we are to judge, be discerning and watch that we do not fall. Here are some examples of what I am trying to say.

Luke 12:57           “And why even of yourselves do ye not judge what is right”

John 7:24             “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”

2 Timothy  4:5     But thou, be watchful in all things...

1 John 4:1            ...but keep on putting...to the test...

Revelation 3:2      Keep on becoming watchful and make firm the things that remain...

Psalms 97:10       0 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil

Ephesians 4:26    Be ye angry, and sin not

Malachi 3:6         For I am the LORD, I change not.

Job 34:17            Behold then the one that hates iniquities, and that destroys the wicked, who is for ever just. (LXX)

Psalm 7:11          God is a righteous judge, One who knows indignation every day.

Psalms 11:5        The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

Jeremiah 5.1         Hurry about and see if there is someone practicing judgment and righteousness, and I will be gracious.

Philipp 1:9           And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment

Hebrews 10:27    But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Proverbs 8:13     The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the forward mouth, do I hate.

Romans 1:18      For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness

1 Peter 4:17        For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Jude 1:15           To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.

 “Live in peace not only with your friends but with your enemies;

but only with your personal enemies and not with the enemies of God.”

St. Theodosius of the Kiev Caves (+1074)
