This manuscript is in the ancient pure (pre-Nikon)
Old Slavonic and titled The Passions of Christ.
For those who cannot read Old Slavonic perhaps the many illuminated images (which are
certainly worth more than a thousand words) will
inspire you learn this Sacred Language. This book
is part of a circle of reading for strict Old Believers.
Nearly every family would have three specified books
available for reading, a Psalter, the Chassoslov and
