The Ustav from the 1600s

I agree that it is inappropriate to eliminate portions of the Typicon (“po ustavu”) also called The Eye of the Church. This book is very big, as the one pictured below shows. Contained therein are the guidelines and rules for doing worship services on every possible day of any year.

Below is page number 7 of 2367 total digitized pages.

The Old Slavonic Typicon (Ustav) is downloadable in one PDF file that is 971.7 MB. After spending the day attempting to download it at speeds from 10kb/sec to 40kb/sec I found the optimum button to use. The download link directly below “actions” and next to the image of a disk seems to be more helpful than the other links. I was finally able to download the file at around 300kb/sec, it took an hour. If time allows I could spend years making pages to Russian Old Believer manuscripts like this one. It is amazing what there is online. Here is the download page.

This Ustav was printed during the lifetimes of Patriarch Hermogenes' 1608+, patriarch Philarete's 1633+ and during patriarch Joseph's 1641+.

It is also available in smaller files from here.
